High-power tubular & bolt-mount resistors
Tubular and panel-mount bodies for high continuous dissipation
20–150 W · withstanding up to 60 kV

High-power types — bolt-mount lug terminal, 150 W and 100 W tubular, 20 W screw-terminal tube
When the bleeder or load resistor has to dissipate real power continuously, the tubular and bolt-mount housings take over. Vitreous-enamel and resin-coated ceramic tubes are available with screw terminals, metal end caps, or lug terminals for chassis mounting, covering 20 W to 150 W and working voltages into the tens of kilovolts. These are the parts used in capacitor discharge banks, dummy loads, snubbers and high-voltage measurement dividers.
Materials
| Substrate | 96% Al2O3 alumina ceramic |
| Resistive element | Glass-glaze resistance film |
| Termination / leads | Tinned copper |
| Encapsulation | Resin |
| Operating medium | Air (see notes — rating improves substantially when oil-immersed or resin-potted) |
Notes on ratings
- Ratings shown on the images are examples of stocked values; other resistance and power combinations in the same body are available to order.
- Send the working voltage, continuous dissipation and resistance value and we will confirm the correct body size.
